Jake Shimabukuro won the first award presented at tonight's Na Hoku Hanohano Awards.

Ukulele maestro Jake Shimabukuro has won the first Na Hoku Honohano Award tonight in the category of instrumental album for "Live."

Jeff Peterson followed up with the second award of the night — for slack key — for "Maui on My Mind."

The Na Hoku Honohano Awards — Hawaii's version of the Grammys for locally produced music — are being held tonight at the Hawaii Convention Center and are broadcast live on KHNL.
