Local Tahitian Dance Groups Gather at the Waikiki Shell

Dayna Higa of Manutahi Tahiti, a dancer competing in 2009 event for the Overall Soloist Award. This year, close to 200 dancers will compete for the title.

Oahu, "The Gathering Place", will host Tahitian dance groups from around the world for the 8th Annual "Heiva I Honolulu" at the Waikiki Shell Amphitheatre, March 18-20, 2010. Amongst the international competitors are many local Tahitian dance troupes. More »

In memory of their fallen comrade, 1LT Daniel B. Hyde, on 6 March 2010 at 4:30am, Team Hyde raced to the top of Haleakala in this year's unofficial Race to the Sun in Maui. They completed the 36+ mile course in 5 hours, 7 minutes, and 56 seconds which set a team relay course record. More »
