Big Island police ask help in finding man sought in assault

Hawaii County police are asking the public's help in fining a man wanted in connection with a reported assault.

Police say Will M. Kaaihue, 43, allegedly assaulted his girlfriend at her Puna home on May 11.

Kaaihue is described as 5 feet 11 and 190 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.

Anyone knowing his whereabouts is asked to call Detective James Gusman at 961-2278 or the department's non-emergency line at 935-3311.

Tipsters who prefer to remain anonymous may call Crime Stoppers at 961-8300 in Hilo or 329-8181 in West Hawaii.
