The 13th annual New Baby Expo, tailored for Hawai'i's prenatal to preschool families, is slated for this weekend at the Blaisdell Center's exhibition hall.

The event, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, will feature more than 150 exhibitor booths. General admission is $4.50, and children age 5 and younger get in free. There will be a children's activity area for kids age 2 and older.

Among the highlights: a baby crawling contest at 1 p.m. Saturday, and the 10th annual Hawai'i's Largest Baby Shower, at 1 p.m. Sunday. Featured talks: Robert Titzer, creator of the popular "Your Baby Can Read" infant learning system, 3 p.m. Saturday and 1 p.m. Sunday; and American Red Cross of Hawaii demonstrations on both days, on infant choking and rescue breathing at 11:30 a.m., and on infant first aid at 12:30 p.m.
