Honolulu police are seeking the public's help in locating two males who are wanted in connection with the beating death of a taxi driver Saturday.

The city medical examiner identified the victim as Charlys Ty Tang, 41, of Salt Lake. Tang was allegedly assaulted by two people in the parking lot of the Waipahu Times Supermarket early Saturday.

He was taken to The Queen's Medical Center in critical condition with head and facial injuries, but he later died. Witnesses saw two males running from Tang's taxi, police said.

Police said Tang picked up two males on Kuhio Avenue near Seaside Avenue in Waikiki at about 1:15 a.m. The males were driven in his white Ford sedan to the Times market, where Tang was found out of his vehicle unresponsive at about 1:50 a.m.

The first suspect was 17 to 23 years old, 5 feet 4 to 5 feet 7, 140 to 155 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. The second suspect also was 17 to 23 years old, 5 feet 8 to 5 feet 11, 155 to 180 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.
