The 1968 rock musical "Hair" gets a 2010 update during "Twitter Night," a one-night departure from Manoa Valley Theatre's ban on electronic devices.

Tonight, audience members will be encouraged to tweet, post and blog throughout the performance, which features Jaq Ryan Galliano as Berger, Conor Malis as Woof, D. Omar Williams as Hud, Kyle Malis as Claude, Dusty Behner as Jeanie, Louisa Te'i as Dionne and Nicole Sandry as Crissy.

"Hair" tells the story of young Americans' quest for love and peace during the Vietnam era, with a score that includes "Aquarius," "Let the Sun Shine In," "Be-In (Hare Krishna)," "Good Morning Starshine" and "Hair."

The Twitter Night performance is 8 tonight. Keep your phones off for matinees at 3 p.m. today and 4 p.m. tomorrow, with repeats through April 4. Tickets are $35 general, $30 for seniors and military, and $25 for those 25 and younger. Call 988-6131 or purchase tickets online at www.manoavalleytheatre.com.
