Diamond Head Theatre has just opened "Shout! The Mod Musical," a tongue-in-cheek look back at the music, fashion, hairstyles and freedom of 1960s London.

Pop songs like "You Don't Have to Say You Love Me," "Downtown," and "Windy" are tied together with soundbites from the '60s, as well as an advice columnist (Madeleine McKay) who thinks every problem can be solved with a new hairdo and shade of lipstick. The show is recommended for ages 13 and older.

The cast is an all-women ensemble: Vanessa Manuel Mazzullo as Yellow Girl, Tricia Marciel as Blue Girl, Megan Mount as Red Girl, Zenia Moura as Orange Girl and Renee Noveck as Green Girl. Michael Titterton provides voiceovers.

Performances are 8 tonight and 4 p.m. tomorrow, with repeats 8 p.m. Thursday through Saturday and 4 p.m. Sunday through April 4, as well as 3 p.m. matinees March 27 and April 3.

Tickets are $12 to $42, with discounts for children, students, seniors and military. Call 733-0274 to charge by phone or purchase tickets at www.diamondheadtheatre.com.
