Free flu vaccination clinic scheduled today at Palama Settlement

Advertiser Staff

Public health nurses and volunteers from the state Department of Health will be at a free H1N1 flu vaccination clinic today at Palama Settlement.

The Health Department said in a news release that hundreds are expected to be vaccinated and that the clinic is open to anyone who wishes to get the vaccine.
Parents should keep in mind that children under 10 years of age need a second dose if they’ve already received a first dose.
The state says vaccinations are important because Hawaii’s flu season typically extends beyond the winter months.
The clinic runs from 12:30 p.m. to 3 p.m.
Palama Settlement is at 810 North Vineyard Boulevard.
