INTERNATIONAL FESTIVAL SHOWCASES CULTURES OF THE WORLD AT KCC

Kapi'olani Community College will host the 22nd annual International Festival from 9 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. tomorrow through Thursday on campus.

The festival showcases the cultures of the world through lectures, panel discussions, art exhibits, films, performances of dance and music, poetry and literature readings. The festival is free and open to the public.

A localvore is a person dedicated to eating food grown and produced locally. Kokua Hawai'i Foundation will present a free program about the growing "Eat Local" trend and how you can incorporate it into your life on Wednesday at 5:30 p.m. in the Magazine Room at Salt Lake-Moanalua Public Library.

LOCAL TAHITIAN DANCE GROUPS TO COMPETE AT THE WAIKIKI SHELL

Tahitian dance groups from around the world will gather this week for the eighth annual Heiva I Honolulu at the Waikiki Shell Amphitheatre.

PARENT PROJECT SERIES TO BEGIN MARCH 22 AT HUI MALAMA LEARNING CENTER

Hui Malama Learning Center will sponsor a free parenting program beginning March 22, with 10 weekly sessions every Monday from 6 to 8:30 p.m.

The Parent Project, taught by certified facilitator Christine Haskins, will be at Hui Malama Learning Center in Wailuku. Parents will learn skills and tools needed to influence and motivate children to change unwanted behavior, increase positive behavior and improve family relationships. To enroll call 298-5050.

LIBRARY DEDICATES NEW AUDITORIUM

Hanapepe Public Library celebrated its 60th anniversary and dedicated its recently completed auditorium Thursday. The new auditorium is part of a $1.7 million, 2,210-square-foot project that includes a staff work room, handicapped-accessible rest- room and improvements to the parking lot.
