Fashion designer and clay artist Terry Nokell, known as "The Logger's Daughter," will hold two trunk shows on O'ahu. The first is from 7 to 9 tonight during First Friday at the Louis Pohl Gallery; the second is from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. tomorrow at Silver Moon Emporium in Hale'iwa. Nokell creates one-of-a-kind garments as well as clay buttons she fires in her studio kiln in Washington state. She also creates silver-wrapped and hammered jewelry.

Twice a year, Maruca's textile designer creates a new fabric line which is designed and sewn into a plethora of handbag styles, from feminine '40s-style classics to sleek contemporary styles. They are all entirely made in the United States. We found them at Nui Mono, 2745 S. King St. Prices range from $28 to $76.
