Refuse pickup resumes this week on adjusted schedule

Advertiser Staff

Residential curbside refuse collection will resume on Lāna'i beginning Thursday, Maui County announced yesterday.

The resumption of pickups follows completion of repairs to the Lāna'i's automated refuse truck. The truck is scheduled to return to Lāna'i from Maui on Wednesday.

Customers are advised that beginning the week of March 8, Monday pickups will be made on Wednesdays.

In order to restart refuse service as soon as possible, the following schedule will be in effect:

Thursday: Pickup for customers who normally receive service on Monday.

Friday: Pickup for customers who normally receive service on Tuesday.

March 8: No collection.

March 9: Regularly scheduled pickup for Tuesday customers.

March 10: Customers who normally receive service on Mondays will now receive service on Wednesdays.

For more information, please contact Executive Assistant and Lāna'i Liaison Darlene Endrina at the Office of the Mayor at 559-0471.
