IMPROV COMEDY CENTRAL

Our final edition of Hot List is a guide to a few of the things that I find most entertaining.

If I had to spend my down time at only one place in the city, I would choose Laughtrack Theater Company every time. The little theater on Bethel Street is Honolulu's only theater devoted exclusively to long-form improv comedy (not the kind on "Whose Line Is It Anyway?" — the long stuff is better), and the place always draws a crowd. The charm — and genius — of improv is that you never know what's going to happen, and at LTC, there's both charm and genius in spades.

Laughtrack Theater Company / 1123 Bethel St. / shows at 8, 10 p.m. Fridays, Saturdays; 8, 9 and 10 p.m. First Fridays / $10 general; $5 on First Fridays / www.laughtracktheater.com, 384-3362

LOUNGE WIZARDS

I've had my fair share of cocktails all over this city, and no one shakes and mixes like the staff at Lewers Lounge (923-2311). And there's live jazz every Wednesday and Thursday, which makes the drinks go down even easier.

HAWAIIAN MOONLIGHT

Kanikapila under the stars? Yes, please.

Moonlight Mele on the Lawn with Ledward Ka'apana, John Cruz and Kaukahi / Bishop Museum / 5:30-9 p.m. tomorrow / $15-$25 / www.bishopmuseum.org, 847-3511

CHAMBER OF SECRETS

There's nothing like a good classical music session at an unlikely venue. Fresh Cafe on Queen Street is now hosting chamber musicians at 8 p.m. every Monday (688-8055, free). Classy.

HOT DOGS

The Actors' Group's production of Suzan-Lori Parks' Pulitzer Prize-winning play "Topdog/Underdog" opens at 7:30 tonight for a three-week run ($10-$20, www.taghawaii.net, 722-6941). It's the last chance to see a TAG play before the season ends.

EPICURIOUS GEORGE

Chef George Mavrothalassitis has just rolled out his new spring prix-fixe menu at his Chef Mavro restaurant (944-4714) that includes tamarind roasted sable fish, Kurobuta pork wrapped in betel nut leaves and his signature liliko'i malassadas.

GOOOAAAAL!

The 2010 FIFA World Cup of soccer kicks off June 11 in South Africa, and it's the only sports tournament I'll actually watch from beginning to end — while cheering on the Germans. The first game of the tournament airs at 3:30 a.m. local time on ESPN. If you love it, you'll wake up for it.

GREEK TO ME

I'll see any movie and consider it a good use of my time because if I can be in an air-conditioned space with my brain shut off for two hours, then I got my money's worth. This week, I'm chilling and escaping with "Get Him to the Greek." Plus, it looks like it might actually be funny.
