Langley shot a second straight 4-under-par 68 to finish the 54-hole medal play competition at 10-under 206. Ching shot a 73 at The Honors Course and shared second at 208.

The 2008 state high school champ for Punahou surged into first Wednesday when he broke Tiger Woods' course record, shooting a 66. Woods shot 67 in the second round of the 1996 NCAA Championship.

Ching finished 13th in this tournament as a freshman, shooting a final-round 76.

The 25th-ranked Toreros shot 292 today and finished in a three-way tie for eighth at 868. They will play off with Stanford and Arizona State tomorrow morning, with the winner advancing to the match-play format that decides the team title.

The tie will be broken by sudden death, counting the low four scores relative to par on each hole. Play shall continue with new scoring on each successive hole until a winner is determined.
