A man was critically injured yesterday afternoon in a single-vehicle crash on Farrington Highway near the Kahe power plant.

The incident happened about 3:20 p.m., police said. A man, who appeared to be in his mid-50s, was taken to the hospital in critical condition, said Bryan Cheplic, city Emergency Services Department spokesman.

Police were investigating whether the man suffered a medical condition before the crash.

One westbound lane of Farrington Highway was closed for about three hours while police investigated the crash. All lanes were back open about 6 p.m.
