Two people were critically injured in their Waialae-Kahala home early this morning and police are investigating a possible burglary or home invasion.

One of the injured persons is a woman believed to be in her 80s.
The house is at 1451 Halekoa Drive, mauka of H-1 Freeway near Kahala Mall.
Police Capt. Letha DeCaires said officers were dispatched to the house at 3:25 a.m. on a noise complaint and found the injured woman and a man. The two were residents of the home and had apparently been assaulted, DeCaires said.
Bryan Cheplic of the city's Emergency Services Department said paramedics were called at 3:49 a.m.
Cheplic said the man, believed to be in his 40s, was taken to a hospital in critical condition while the woman was transported in serious condition.
DeCaires said both are now in critical but stable condition.
Police have no suspects at this time.
