Haiti telethon to air on KHON

Advertiser Staff

KHON2 announced today that it will air a commercial-free, two-hour earthquake relief global telethon, “Hope for Haiti,” next Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. The telethon will air on the Fox station and its sister network, The CW.

George Clooney in Los Angeles, Wyclef Jean in New York City and CNN’s Anderson Cooper from Haiti will be featured on the telethon, which will be broadcast from New York City and Los Angeles, and will include musical performances and celebrity appearances, as well as live news reports from CNN.
Proceeds will be split evenly among five relief organizations operating in Haiti: Oxfam America, Partners in Health, the Red Cross, UNICEF and Yele Haiti Foundation. Facebook and MySpace have also signed on as social media partners to help drive donations and tune-in information to the telethon.
