Punahou School was well represented at the Oval Office today as Michelle Wie and the U.S. Solheim Cup team members visited President Obama.

The two-day tour of the nation’s capital was part of the celebration of the U.S. Solheim Cup Team’s victory.
The tour included the exchanging of gifts and tips with the president, a special reception, a tour of the Pentagon and the 9/11 Memorial.
Solheim Cup U.S. team members included Paula Creamer, Morgan Pressel, Brittany Lincicome, Christina Kim, Natalie Gulbis as well as team captain Beth Daniel, who picked Wie for the team.
“It's amazing to be a part of history, to see so much history, to meet President Obama. It does move you,” Cristie Kerr told USA Today.
Added Kim, “People were asking me what was wrong because I wasn't saying anything. It was probably the quietest I've been since I was born. I haven't felt so alive in a while.”
