Wahiawa school to hold literacy fair

Ho ala School will next month sponsor a literacy fair and open house.
The fair — geared for children of all grade levels from preschool through high school — will feature activities and include a drama performance by Ho ala high school students, reading activities, alphabet pancakes, storyteller Wally Amos, and more. A school open house will take place in conjunction with this event.
The event is slated for 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Feb. 13 on the Ho`ala School Campus, 1067 A California Avenue, Wahiawa.
The purpose of the fair is to celebrate reading with the children of Wahiawa and surrounding communities.
Organizers are currently seeking donations from individuals and businesses to go toward the purchase of books. so that each child attending can receive a free new book at the end of the event.
