Big Island police seeking missing 19-year-old woman

HILO — Hawaii County police are asking the public’s help in finding a 19-year-old woman who was reported missing on Monday.

Britney Dawson was last seen at the Prince Kuhio Plaza in Hilo on or near Dec. 27. She was to catch a bus to Pahoa to meet an acquaintance.
She is described as 5 feet 10 and about 150 pounds, with straight brown hair and brown eyes. She has a tattoo — NYIIYAH — on her back.
Police ask anyone with information about her whereabouts to call Officer Joshua Gouveia at 961-2213 or the Police Department’s non-emergency line at 935-3311. Tipsters who prefer to remain anonymous may call Crime Stoppers at 961-8300 in Hilo or 329-8181 in Kona. All Crime Stoppers information is kept confidential.
