Mood calm in Pacific Tsunami Warning Center as siren warning issued

Advertiser Staff

The mood at the Pacific Tsunami Warning Center was calm as about eight scientists monitored incoming data and fielded media calls from around the world.

The scientists have also been talking to Civil Defense officials from throughout the state, as well as the West Coast/Alaska Tsunami Warning Center based in Palmer, Alaska, which is tasked with coordinating with western states.
