About 150 troops from the Hawaii Army National Guard’s 230th Engineer Company and 30 from a unit in Montana were honored this morning at a deployment ceremony at Schofield Barracks.

The troops — carpenters, plumbers and electricians — will leave for a tour of duty in Afghanistan tomorrow. The 230th will be assigned to Regional Command East.
They have been training with the Montana Guard at Schofield for the last month and a half.
Most members of the 230th have been previously deployed.
