Advertiser Staff

Gov. Linda Lingle yesterday nominated Lisa Ginoza, the first deputy attorney general, as an associate judge on the Hawai'i Intermediate Court of Appeals.

Ginoza, who has worked as a deputy attorney general since 2005, was a former partner at the firm McCorriston Miller Mukai MacKinnon. She specialized in insurance, personal injury, commercial and contract disputes, employment litigation and product liability.

Ginoza graduated from the University of Hawai'i-Mänoa William S. Richardson School of Law, Oregon State University and Kailua High School.

Ginoza, whose nomination is subject to state Senate confirmation, would replace Associate Judge Corrine Watanabe, who retired.

Lingle also nominated District Family Court Judge Robert Mark Browning as a Circuit Court judge.

Browning, who is also subject to Senate confirmation, would replace Judge Victoria Marks, who retired.
