A motorcyclist in his 40s was injured yesterday afternoon after he crashed on the H-1 Freeway near the University off-ramp, Honolulu firefighters said.
The accident happened at 3:28 p.m. in the east-bound direction of the H-1, said Honolulu Fire Capt. Earle Kealoha.

The motorcyclist was not wearing a helmet. Firefighters put the man on a back board and stabilized his neck and head before he was taken by ambulance to an area hospital, Kealoha said.
