Ex-UH basketball player's H-O-R-S-E video picked among best by nba.com

Former University of Hawai‘i basketball player Kenny Kelly has had his video selected as one of the three finalists for the best H.O.R.S.E. Shot on nba.com.

Fans were asked to upload their trick-shot video and nba.com selected the top three, which will then be voted on by fans.
The winning video might be performed live by NBA H.O.R.S.E. contestants at All-Star Weekend 2010 in Dallas Feb. 13 on TNT.
Kelly, who played for UH in 2004 and graduated with a degree in economics in 2006, was wearing his UH shorts when he performed his no-look, behind-the-head, bounce-off-the-ground, nothing-but-net shot.
“I just wanted to be creative. Do something no one’s done before,” he said.
“I was always a good dribbler. That was my forte, so why shoot it?”
Kelly, who works for Lockheed Martin in Dallas, said he played with Bobby Nash and Julian Sensley and said Deonte Tatum was one of his best friends on the team.
“I was on the scout team, so coach (Bob) Nash was like my head coach,” he said.
Kelly said he shot the video with his iphone in January after watching the Lakers-Cavaliers.
