Student art awards to be given Saturday, exhibit opens
Island student artists will be honored Saturday at the 47th annual Hawaii Regional Scholastic Awards ceremony at the Hawaii State Art Museum, One Capitol Building, 250 S. Hotel St.
The ceremony, recognizing creative excellence among public and private school students grades 7 through 12, takes place from 4-6 p.m. Saturday on the front lawn of the museum.
The exhibition of their works will hang through April 2 in the second floor diamondhead gallery.
