Small earthquake hits Big Island's Pahala

Associated Press

PAHALA, Hawaii — A minor earthquake has rattled the small town of Pahala on the Big Island, but no injuries or damages have been reported.

The U.S. Geological Survey says the 3.5-magnitude quake hit at 9:06 p.m. It was centered less than a mile west-northwest of Pahala, which is on the southern edge of the island. The temblor was reportedly felt as far north as the Honokaa-area.
