Soaking up sun part of game plan

Kahuku High alum Aaron Francisco, a safety for the Indianapolis Colts, provides insight to the Super Bowl.

Today was a very short, uptempo practice for the team. Only 40 minutes of work that included an offensive and defensive scout period to prepare for the Saints, and also a blitz period against our offense that was very fast and productive.

Players used the time after practice to pack up all our equipment and things we will need to play down in Miami.

Most of us are really excited to get out of this 20-degree weather and head over to some nice beach weather. It'll be real nice to get some sun and hopefully some color back on my skin again. With all the snow we've had in Indy this winter I probably look like a pale Hawaiian by now.

I am still packing up everything in my apartment so when I get back from the Super Bowl I can get out of here as soon as possible and back to my home. I don't want to live in this cold any longer than I have to. You can't blame me, I'm Hawaiian!

The journey starts tomorrow afternoon as our team will be flying out to Fort Lauderdale, where we will be staying during Super Bowl week.

They say our hotel is right on the beach. Being the Island boy that I am, I'm really looking forward to jumping in the ocean as the first thing I do when I get there.

Aloha!
