Big Island police believe Puna house fire was arson

Hawaii County police say a fire that destroyed a house in Hawaiian Paradise Park on last night appears to have been intentionally set.

The house at 15-587 30th Avenue in Puna was completely engulfed when officers and firefighters arrived about 6:30 p.m.

Anyone with information about the fire is asked to call Detective Paul Fukuda at 961-2381, or the police department's non-emergency line at 935-3311.
