In 'Āina Haina, books going for as low as 50 cents

Advertiser Staff

Friends of the 'Āina Haina Library and East Honolulu Rotarians have partnered up to present 'Āina Haina Public Library's annual book sale, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. today and tomorrow at the library, located in 'Āina Haina Shopping Center.

Books for children and adults will be available, and will help sustain the neighborhood library.

Books collected throughout the year will be offered for sale at prices starting at 50 cents.

The area fronting the library will feature some individually priced vintage collectible and out-of-print books including Hawaiiana, as well as DVDs and audio books.

Beginning at 3 p.m. tomorrow, shoppers can purchase a library shopping bag and fill it with books for a flat price of $3.

Volunteers from the Rotary Club of East Honolulu and the Friends of the 'Āina Haina Library will be on hand to help with book selections.

Tomorrow is Rotarians At Work Day, a day of giving back to the communities with service and good works. The Rotarians aim to work with other organizations on common goals, as a fulfilling way to interact with local neighbors.

Proceeds from the sale support the 'Āina Haina Public Library, helping to fund programs for children and adults and provide library materials throughout the year.
