Keiki Earth Day on Saturday in Manoa

Advertiser Staff

A hula class for the kiddies, craft activities and demonstrations on making healthy snacks are part of the activities at Keiki Earth Day, a free event 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at the Baby aWEARness/Hot Mama Maternity store in Manoa Marketplace.

The earth- and family-friendly festivities also include a coloring contest, live music and demonstrations on bucket gardening, cloth diapering, baby wearing/sling techniques, square-foot gardening and more. And the store's natural parenting resource center is filled with eco-friendly educational materials and money-saving tips.

Guests can bring their own cups for complimentary refreshments, as well as old items — such as bags and shirts — to make new again at a craft activity using custom earth-inspired stencils. For more information: 988-0010 or www.babyaWEARness.com.
