Makaha man says boyfriend punched, stabbed him

Advertiser Staff

A 28-year-old Makaha man was arrested last night after an 18-year-old man told police he was punched and stabbed by the older man.

The younger man told police he got into an argument with the other man, whom he described as his boyfriend, while they were driving on Farrington Highway.

The younger man said he was punched in the face and stabbed twice before he was able to get out of the car and call police.

The driver sped away but was located and arrested by a patrol officer who heard an all-points bulletin about the incident, police said.

The man who reported the incident was treated for injuries at Hawaii Medical Center West before being discharged.

The driver was arrested on suspicion of first-degree terroristic threatening, second-degree assault and abuse of a family or household member.
