To get the full benefit of fall's gorgeous color palate and cozy sensibilities, bring the outdoors in with simple decor changes and bold accessories in the colors and shapes of the season.

You don't have to spend big money to get oversized impact at a time when nature offers so much bounty — cherry red apples, spice-colored pumpkins, golden leaves and green gourds.
Here are more ways to enjoy fall decor without breaking the bank:
Buy or make a pumpkin, pecan or apple pie, put it out on a decorative plate or cake stand and have a treat for all the senses — it looks great, smells fantastic and tastes delicious.
In the same vein, fill a glass bowl on a table with colorful candy corn or bright apples. Refill your masterpiece as often as necessary for just a few dollars.
Pie pumpkins also make great edible decor. Group a few of them as a table centerpiece, tie paper twine or ribbons around them, sprinkle in a few votive candles, and voila!
For another great family project, glue silk or real leaves to red, brown and orange construction paper, cut them out, attach them to sturdy string and drape the garland on the fireplace mantel or door frames.
Take fabric or wide ribbon in colors like emerald green, orange or brilliant purple and tie it like a sash around dining room chairs. Tuck a spray of silk leaves into the bow.
