Clark Realty Corp., the largest real estate company on the Big Island, said today it is acquiring Parker Ranch Realty Inc.

Bill Maris, Parker Ranch's chief operating officer, said the sale of the company is part of the ranch's strategy to shed its non-core businesses, including is real estate brokerage. The deal is set to close Dec. 1.

"The Ranch is quite pleased that a strong kama'aina company such as Clark Realty has stepped forward to acquire these assets," Maris said.

Clark Realty has more than one hundred thirty agents, eight full-time property managers and twenty-three administrators and staff. Clark Realty will continue to operate six offices on the Big Island. Its Kamuela office will move from its current location to the Parker Ranch Realty space at the Parker Ranch Center.
