One sexual predator was sentenced to 15 years in prison this morning for assaulting two underage girls and another received 50 years behind bars for kidnapping, beating and raping two prostitutes.

Circuit Judge Virginia Crandall sentenced Jon Joseph Rutherford, 22, to 15 years for raping a 15-year-old female in 2006 and later sexually assaulting a 13-year-old female.
Judge Steven Alm sentenced the other defendant, John Veikoso, also 22, to a total of 50 years for two violent attacks on prostitutes he picked up in Downtown Honolulu early this year.
Both men wept and asked for mercy.
“You should never date younger girls because they’re just not ready,” Rutherford said.
Veikoso said he was “really sorry” and claimed that he “wasn’t clear-minded” when he attacked his victims.
But Alm called Veikoso “a serial rapist” who “brutalized” his victims.
“I normally am a huge believer in second chances,” Alm said.
“But its a little late for that,” Alm told Veikoso.
