Magic appearance at McKinley High

Earvin "Magic" Johnson Jr. spoke to the students at McKinley High School today. Johnson is a retired basketball player who played point guard for the Los Angeles Lakers.

Former NBA superstar Magic Johnson made a surprise appearance today at McKinley High School and talked about the importance of education.

Johnson addressed McKinley High students during an assembly in the school gymnasium at about 1 p.m.
This surprise visit by "Magic" was made possible by Sodexo, a leading food and facilities management service company.

Johnson talked to students about the importance of staying in school and how a good education will help them succeed in life.
He will also talk about developing character and discipline and how these traits will benefit students throughout life.
