A 20-year-old man is in critical condition after allegedly being struck by another man outside a Waikiki night club late Saturday night, police said.

Dirk Recopuerto, 41, of a Young Street address, was escorting a patron, 20, out of the nightclub at 11:05 p.m. when a scuffle between the two occurred, police said. The younger man allegedly tried to re-enter the Kuhio Avenue night club.
Recipuerto allegedly struck the man, who sustained head injuries when he fell against a curb and was taken in critical condition to The Queen's Medical Center.
Police arrested Recopuerto on charges of assault in the second degree.
