Dog walk proceeds support dog park on Keahole Street

Hui 'Ilio will hold its fifth annual 2.3-mile Hawai'i Kai Dog Walk on June 7 to benefit the Hawai'i Kai Dog Park on Keahole Street.

Proceeds from the walk will go to support the dog park and the Hui 'Ilio Hawai'i mission. Registration fees are $20 if submitted by tomorrow and participants will receive a T-shirt, gift bag and a chance at a door prize. Walk-in registration of $20 can be made the day of the race from 6:30 to 7:30 a.m. T-shirts will be given on a first-come, first-served basis.

The walk begins at 7:30 a.m. from the makai end of the Hawai'i Kai Park and Ride, goes mauka on Keahole Street, then left onto Hawai'i Kai Drive to Kalaniana'ole Highway and left back to the park and ride. Photo sessions, exhibits and activities will be held before and after the walk. Doggie water stations will be provided. To register go to www.hui-ilio.org.
