Jazz and classics festival in Juneau, Ala.

Alaska's best-known music fest, Juneau Jazz & Classics, is tuning up for May 15-24.

Entering its 23rd year, the 10-day music festival draws artists representing the best in classical, blues and jazz genres for concerts, education programs, and free events.

Festival concerts will play throughout Juneau, on cruise boats, the Juneau Arts & Culture Center, Chapel by the Lake (with a fine view of the Mendenhall Glacier), in auditoriums, schools, hotels, the University of Alaska Southeast campus, and free noon-time concerts at the State Office Building atrium.

Over 6,000 individuals from near and far join together for this extraordinary festival with world-class artists, a spectacular mix of concerts, blues cruises, workshops, and family entertainment in one of the most beautiful settings on earth.
