Pet Events Hawaii is rolling out the red carpet for Fido and family at a Mardi Gras Petstravaganza, 7 p.m. until midnight tonight at The Waterfront, Aloha Tower Marketplace.

Food, cocktails and fun and games with your dog are on the schedule at this pet-friendly outdoor venue. (Dogs must be leashed or in a carrier.)

Hawaii Pet Magazine is sponsoring a Mardi Gras costume contest. The winner will be featured in the next issue of the magazine. Bring on the beads, velvet and feathers!

Also featured: a Cocojor dog model casting call. This national chain store just opened in Hawai'i, and a local pet could be featured in Cocojor's ad campaign. A finalist will be chosen tonight.

Purchase tickets at Pet's Discount locations, Bark Avenue and 55 Pawsh Place; $10, $15 at the door.
