KAUA'I
Search for surfer missing for three days called off

The search for a surfer who had been missing for three days off of Kaua'i was called off yesterday.

The surfer was identified as 34-year-old Aaron Lamson of Moloa'a.

Lamson lost his surfboard at around 1:41 p.m. Friday at a spot called "Crack 14" and has not been seen since.

"Anyone with new information about the missing surfer is urged to call us," said Kaua'i Fire Chief Robert Westerman. "We are prepared to immediately switch from passive to active mode and resume the search."
