High surf advisory in effect for south facing shores

A high surf advisory remains in effect for south facing shores through 6 a.m. tomorrow.

Wave faces along Oçahu’s South Shore are expected to be about 8 feet.
The surf will remain high through this afternoon, when it will start to drop.
The National Weather Service warns the waves could produce dangerous rip currents.
Meanwhile, surf along Oçahu’s north face shores will have wave faces from 1 to 3 feet.
Wave faces on west and east facing shores will be from 2 to 4 feet.
