A 46-year-old man who allegedly sexually assaulted a 13-year-old girl and tried to force her into prostitution was indicted yesterday on six felony charges.

Felix Thaxton, of 2236 Kapi'olani Blvd., was indicted on two counts of first-degree sexual assault and promoting prostitution, one count of third-degree sex assault and one count of criminal solicitation.

According to police affidavits filed earlier in court, the victim alleged that she met Thaxton June 29 in Waikiki and that he sexually assaulted her in his car.

He also repeatedly tried to get her to agree to work as a prostitute even after he told her she only 13, police said.

Thaxton allegedly told her he had other girls working for him as prostitutes, one of whom was 17 and another who was 14.

Thaxton was listed by police as 6-feet-1 and 260 pounds while the girl was said to be less than 5 feet tall and weighing less than 100 pounds.
