Blood Bank schedules two-day drive on Maui

The Blood Bank of Hawai'i has scheduled a two-day blood drive on Maui.

The event will take place from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Feb. 19 and 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Feb. 20 at the Cameron Center in Wailuku.

Donors must be in good health, be at least 18 years of age, weigh at least 110 pounds and bring a photo ID.

The donation process usually takes about an hour and includes some paperwork, a confidential interview and a miniphysical. The actual collection of blood takes only five to eight minutes, officials said.
