Kauai police arrest man after high-speed chase

Advertiser Staff

Kaua'i police arrested a Kapa'a man yesterday after a high-speed chase through Lïhu'e.

Timothy Geis, 37, was arrested for resisting an order to stop his vehicle, reckless driving, operating a vehicle under the influence and driving without a valid license. He was released on $1,250 bail.

The incident began about 1:30 a.m., after Geis allegedly refused to pull over. Police had to set up a device that blew out two tires on the car he was driving.
