Doris Duke screens ‘Buddah!’ world premier

The world premier of “Oh, My Buddah!”, a comedic coming-of-age film based on the novel by Jun Miura, is set for tomorrow at the Doris Duke Theatre.
Yuko Shiomaki, producer of “Oh, My Buddah!”and other international films including “Adrift in Tokyo,” “Sad Vacation,” “Autumn Heart” will introduce the film at 7:30 p.m. She will be available following the screening to answer questions.
The film, directed by Tomorowo Taguchi, is in Japanese with English subtitles.
In addition to opening night, the film will run at 1 p.m., 4 p.m. and at 7:30 on Wednesday, Saturday, Sunday, Dec. 29 and 30, Jan. 2, 3, 5 and 6.
It will show at 1 p.m. only on Thursday and Dec. 31 at 1 p.m.
