MLB: Nolasco and Marlins agree at $3.8 million

Associated Press

MIAMI — Right-hander Ricky Nolasco and the Florida Marlins have agreed to a $3.8 million, one-year contract, a raise of $1.4 million.

Nolasco was 13-9 with a 5.06 ERA last season, down slightly from his 15-8 record in 2008. He missed a large part of 2007 because of elbow inflammation.
In four seasons with the Marlins, Nolasco is 40-30 with a 4.43 ERA.
Seven Marlins remain eligible to file for arbitration next month: second baseman Dan Uggla; first baseman Jorge Cantu; outfielder Cody Ross; right-handers Anibal Sanchez, Josh Johnson and Leo Nunez; and left-hander Renyel Pinto.
While more than 200 major leaguers were eligible for arbitration in October, just 145 remain.
