High-surf advisory for Hawaii's shores

Advertiser Staff

There is a high-surf advisory for north- and west-facing shores of Oahu, Kauai, Niihau and Molokai and the north-facing shores of Maui until 6 a.m. Friday.

The National Weather Service in Honolulu said the current north-northwest swell will continue to slowly decrease today.
Surf is forecast to be 14 feet to 18 feet along north-facing shores today; west-facing shores will see surf of 8 feet to 12 feet.
The weather service said all shores should be below advisory levels by sunrise Friday.
