The Hawaiian Humane Society today euthanized the mixed-breed dog that killed a 2-month-old boy in Wai'anae on Sunday.

Humane society spokeswoman Kawehi Yim did not immediately return telephone calls seeking comment.

Earlier in the day, Yim said that society officials had had no problems with the dog's behavior while it was in isolation at the society shelter.

Honolulu police and the state Department of Human Services are conducting separate investigations surrounding the death of Iokepa Liptak.
