Makiki man accused of attempted murder

Advertiser Staff

Prosecutors tonight charged a Makiki man with an alleged shooting incident in Kalihi two months ago.

Eddieson A. Reyes, 24, was charged with attempted second-degree murder. Drugs were allegedly found in his possession when Reyes was arrested Tuesday at 1039 Wong Lane leading to additional charges of third-degree promoting of a dangerous drug and paraphernalia.

Reyes' bail totals $75,000. He has an initial appearance scheduled tomorrow at District Court.

The attempted-murder counts stems from a July 12 incident at Amelia and North School streets in which a man, 27, says he was shot at by a motorist. The man told police he was partying with friends when he called out to the suspect who was driving by.

The suspect allegedly reacted by taking out a shotgun and fired a round during an altercation that ensued.

No injuries were reported.
