Utah State stops Hawai'i in WAC women's soccer, 2-1

Utah State beat Hawai'i, 2-1, on a late goal tonight in a Western Athletic Conference game at the Waipi'o Peninsula Soccer Stadium in front of 746 fans.

The Aggies are in first place in the WAC at 5-0-0 (10-7-1 overall). Hawai'i dropped to 5-6-4 (1-2-1 WAC).

Utah State forward Candice Clark scored in the fifth minute. Taryn Fukuroku tied it in the second half on an assist from junior forward Ambree Ako in the 55th minute.

Utah State took the lead on another goal by Clark in the 84th minute.

The Rainbow Wahine honor their six seniors in their home finale Sunday night against Louisiana Tech at 5 p.m. at the WPSS.
